Wang Guanyu and his "Guan Yu Art Studio"

　　Wang Guanyu, a renowned inside painting artist, was born in 1949 in Fucheng County of Hebei Province. In 1962 he was forced to discontinue his study and go back home to do farmwork because his junior middle school was closed down due to the financial difficulty. He learned by himself consistently and kept on working hard in spite of all difficulties and hardships.
　　In the year 1969 he commenced learning from Wang Xisan, a master of inside painting, and from then on he began to major in inside-painted snuff bottle. From 1983 he has been to Brazil, the United States, Hong Kong, Singapore and Japan to hold exhibitions of inside-painted snuff bottles.
　　His masterpieces are: "Walking in the Autumn Breeze", "Back from Herding in Wind and Rain", "Seven Sages in the Bamboo Forest", "Deer Hunting" etc. Collectors comment that Wang expresses lofty and elegant artistic conceptions in his works in a free and random way and possesses a style of his own. The books like Asian Art and A New Look of Chinese Inside Painted Snuff Bottles have introduced his works. During the recent years, Wang Guanyu has been living a secluded life and devoting himself to the study of snuff bottles, trying all his efforts to promote this traditional Chinese art.
　　In 1992 Wang Guanyu set up Guan Yu Art Studio. This studio has centralized a group of outstanding snuff bottle artists and they continuously provide all sorts of excellent works.
